ANASTASIA ROGERS
Anastasia learned what abortion was for the first time in elementary school when she was learning the political topics related to the 2000 presidential election. Despite having this issue described in the most child appropriate and broad way, she immediately was appalled and knew that it was wrong. When she asked her teacher what could be done to stop this she responded with “not much since Roe v Wade exists”. She knew she had to do something, but never forgot this conversation and continued to be prolife through her studies graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from The University of Michigan.
It wasn’t until 2015 when Anastasia became vegan that she started learning what could be done to fight for equality. As an atheist who hadn’t been introduced to pro life activism beyond “praying in
front of clinics” the issue remained on the back of her mind while fighting for both animal and human rights. Finally, while searching for a direction with her activism, a prolife direct action came across her newsfeed. Immediately she reached out and got involved, very quickly, with her first prolife action being protesting Kamala Harris’s UCSF appearance in April of 2022.
What Anastasia didn’t know, was the prolife movement would do so much more than change just her activism. Through connections she made within Survivors she began reading the Bible with the intent of “proving the Christians wrong”. Quickly she realized she was wrong and gave her life to Christ in late 2023.
Now a member of Hamilton Square Baptist Church in San Francisco, serving on the choir and as a Junior Church teacher, she also leads the San Francisco team for Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust. Using her skillset developed in her decade of activism, she has become dedicated to fighting for both Christ and the preborn.
As Anastasia is known to say everywhere she goes, abortion is murder - tell your friends!
