DR. SANTANGELO
In an investigation by independent journalists, abortionist Cesare Santangelo admitted his willingness to kill born alive infants. In that same interview when asked what he would do if the baby was born alive during a procedure he said
“then we would do things.
We would not help it.”
In a subsequent 2022 investigation his nurse admitted to violating patient consent via drugging. Not only that, but Dr. Santangelo also failed to properly renew his medical license in 2019. He falsely claimed to have completed all 50 continuing education credits required for renewal, when in reality, he had only completed 21. This effectively violated the Health Occupations Article and the Code of Maryland Regulations.

MALPRACTICE
A simple Google search will show you many women recounting what they describe as the worst day of their lives. Yet some never had the chance to leave a review because they didn’t make it out alive.
After the tragic miscarriage of her child, she was referred to Santangelo. While removing the deceased child, he botched the procedure so badly that fetal remains entered her bloodstream, traveled to her lungs, and killed her.

In August 2019, she visited the Washington Surgi-Clinic seeking an abortion at 23 weeks due to a diagnosed fetal abnormality. However, Dr. Santangelo failed to inform her during the examination that the baby had already died naturally and that labor could have been safely induced. Instead, he proceeded with a high-risk extraction procedure, during which he tore into her bowels. As a result, Musgrove required emergency surgery to repair the damage.

In addition, Dr. Santangelo has faced multiple other complaints. In 2014, Elizabeth Almeyda filed a medical malpractice lawsuit against him, and two hospitals have submitted formal complaints against his clinic following botched procedures.

This facility is also the site where 115 aborted bodies were recovered by D.C. residents—among them, five children who appear to have been killed in violation of the 2003 federal Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act and the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act. Medical professionals consulted by the residents indicated that the babies were at or near full term and may have been born alive before being killed.
These allegations led several members of Congress to call for a thorough investigation into the clinic's practices. Yet, despite these serious and credible concerns, as well as mounting public and political pressure, little official action has been taken against the Washington Surgi-Clinic. The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department reportedly did not perform autopsies on the recovered remains, drawing criticism not only from pro-life organizations but also from lawmakers, who argue that a proper investigation is necessary to determine whether federal laws were broken. To this day, no meaningful action has been taken!
